Rob B. Kin, MPT was born and raised in New Westminster, BC. He received his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. Afterwards, Rob moved to Perth, Australia to complete his Master's degree in Physiotherapy from Curtin University. Rob received the award for highest clinical marks among his graduating class.

Rob is a trained manual therapist and implements a variety of hands on techniques to address pain, stiffness and other physical deficiencies. Rob has completed his Level 2 upper and lower body courses with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (Orthopaedic Division). He has also taken courses in spinal mobilization/manipulation and therapeutic exercise prescription.

 


 

Rob is a certified Shift Concussion provider after completing the Shift Concussion Management Program. Rob has experience working with a variety of individuals who have sustained concussions including athletes, as well as individuals who have been in motor vehicle and work place accidents.

In his younger years, Rob played competitive hockey, Junior 'A' lacrosse for the New Westminster Salmonbellies and CIS soccer at the University of Lethbridge. He stays active by continuing to play hockey and soccer. He also enjoys camping, running and live music.

Easy parking, location, friendly environment and qualified physiotherapists were the reasons I walked into Kerrisdale Physiotherapy seeking for treatments after I took off the cast from my broken left wrist. Rob is a very personable and good physiotherapist. He explained clearly the treatment plan and the exercises were easy to follow. The Balance and Falls Prevention classes were informal and fun. We were given clear instructions on how to improve our balance problems by doing certain physical exercises. We also had written instructions with illustrations so we could practice at home. It is clear to me that my balance is improving. I have greater physical strength in the torso and legs.
